The "Party of NO" vs the Party of Marx

The Bible has this proverb: "Woe unto you when all men speak well of you". A corollary of that is found in  Mt 5:11 "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. " And one could add..."and for the Truth's sake."

The Dems are trying to tag the Republicans with the malodorous title of being "the party of No." Their intent is to portray them as a group who refuses to sign onto their big-government takeover of healthcare - or forced Unionization of the businesses of America, or the Carbon tax...name practically any Democrat legislation - as just being partisan or petulent, or obstructionist for petty reasons. The Dems would have us all believe that they just have our best interests at heart. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.

While the Republicans have not done much to combat the implied stigma, I suggest that such a name ought to be worn not only with pride but with conviction, turning the tag into a badge of honor, exposing the agenda of the Dems. It would not take much; the American people already have a pretty clear notion of what the Dems are all about. They would enjoy a snappy come-back from the Republicans.

When the Democrats are rightly understood to be sponsoring the ideas of Karl Marx - Socialist, Progressive, Communist ideas - as the goal of the "change" they want to foist on the United States, then it is altogether honorable, and even incumbent on those who cherish this country and its heritage to stand up and reply with a resounding "NO!"

The Republicans are not known for being clever, but it is about time that they tap into some of the native wit that resides in many Tea Party hearts. Such a name would strongly resonate with that conservative, constitutional segment of the Party.
