Like the sign says............."Only in Pennsylvania"
This was an emaiil attachment my daughter sent me.
It must be something in the coal-infused water. This is the pull off at SR 61 and Adamsdale Rd.
A deer was hit there.
The couch was dumped there previously.
Day two the deer was on the couch.
Day three the end table and lamp showed up.
Day four the TV and TV stand showed up.
The Trooper had to call PENN DOT because of all the people stopping to take pictures.
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE SIGN.
The cardboard caption in front of the deer on the couch reads,
"Sorry Hunters.
Obama ruined healthcare.
We can't afford to have injured hunters on our conscience,
so I'm staying home!
Sorry,
the Deer."

Acorn's Manifesto - their "Demands" on the rest of us.
This is pure communism, with punishment of those who have worked hard and been successful in a free society. When this bunch of thugs get through with our country, we won't even have a country anymore. We will have a concentration camp run by Chicago-Style ganstgers.

The real Amendment 4 - A Genuine Prescription for Gridlock
Here in Florida, for your interest, a rich, liberal Palm Beach resident has bankrolled an amendment to the Florida State Constitution, purporting to be for "Hometown Democracy", forcing citizen votes on all land use issues.
As a commercial real estate professional, I cannot think of a more insidious attack on property rights than this.
I'll post more info on the antecedents to this amendment - the supporters and those who are "behind the scenes" pushing and pulling. You would be surprised and appalled at who got behind this movement.
It must be defeated resoundingly.

Obama gives 2 $Billion for Oil Drilling off of Brazil
I got this forwarded to me in an email. I already heard about it, but the details were not clear at the time I heard it. I consider this an impeachable offense - a high crime of bribery and payoff of political favors. We might not have the votes right now, but the tab of offenses for this "president" keeps rising.
Title : Obama underwrites off shore oil drilling in BRAZIL .
This is a perfect example why I refrain from watching the news on ABC, NBC, CBS, or MSNBC.
Today on a segment of the "Glen Beck Show" on FOX (Fox Cable News) was the following:
"Today, even though President Obama is against off shore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company (which is the 8th largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil ! The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China and NOT THE USA ! Now here's the real clincher...the Chinese government is under contract to purchase all the oil that this oil field will produce, which is hundreds of millions of barrels of oil".
We have absolutely no gain from this transaction whatsoever!
Wait, it gets more interesting.
Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil Company and who would benefit most from this? It is American BILLIONAIRE, George Soros, who was one of President Obama's most generous financial supporter during his campaign.
If you are able to connect the dots and follow the money, you are probably as upset as I am. Not a word of this transaction was broadcast on any of the other news networks!

Private Property Rights
"Some see private enterprise as a predatory target to be shot, others as a cow to be milked, but few are those who see it as a sturdy horse pulling the wagon." - Winston Churchill
Private enterprise is the outworking of multiple people exercising their right to do as each one wants with what one has earned or acquired lawfully and honestly, all without coercion. As soon as coercion enters, liberty diminishes until eventually; nothing is left but brute coercion.
That is the goal of the modern super-state - the grossest forms of coercion and oppression to achieve "equity, fraternity, liberty." All it produces is oppression, destruction and misery for the maximum number of people.
When God commanded "Thou shalt not steal" He empowered and blessed the ownership of private property. Progressivism is the attempt to make Man Holier than God by redistributing private property as if the concept of private rights to property did not exist. Man fails miserably and totally in the attempt, and instead oppresses his fellow man - all, ironically - in the name of "fairness". How tragic. How wilfully wrong!
All this is a fruit of rebellion against God's order. If we won't live under God's authority willingly, we will live under the oppression of our fellow man unwillingly. Man's state, by the way, is far less merciful and caring than the true and living God. Imagine life under the Third Reich. Paradise or Hell?
Truly He said: "All they who hate Me, love death."

The Scott Brown Senate Win in Massachusetts
The election of Scott Brown was certainly a big win for the indignant citizens of Massachusetts and the rest of the country who have been scorned and dismissed with contempt by the Liberal Democrat power brokers. They figured that the people of the state would do a "ditto" to replace the uber-liberal Kennedy with another place-holder to perpetuate the Democrat hegemony in that state and the Senate. They did not count on any effective opposition.
Good news. They got the nastiest surprise of their lives.
But before we pop the corks and start to celebrate, we need to be aware that Mr. Brown, while portraying the outward aspect of an apparent presidential possibility for the Republicans, still has some very troubling baggage. He is not pro-life; he is pro-big government solutions to health care. He claims to be the architect of the Massachusetts health care system that exists now. He has said he will bring his plans to Washington.
The last thing we need is a RINO bringing another tired, shopworn, socialist health care plan to Washington, on a wave of hysterical celebration that we have "won." I am not saying that Mr. Brown is a "ringer", but I am suggesting that there could be serious danger in lionizing this man before his ideas are vetted by the constitutional, traditional portion of the electorate that are partly responsible for putting him into office.
I am troubled by his lack of religious background. I searched his Face book page in vain for any mention of church affiliation. Certainly he has a sterling record of public service, serving on numerous civic and governmental positions, and honorably in the military. I have little doubt of his ability to serve effectively and intelligently at a certain level of executive performance, but I am very concerned about his lack of moral "bottom" as it derives from the eternal principles found only in Christianity. He is not pro-life except in some minor ways. That is troubling.
Perhaps it is asking too much for the ultra Liberal people of Massachusetts to immediately vote in someone who has top-flight conservative credentials. But it would have been nice.
We need smart, likeable, articulat, good-looking, presentable people to teach the message of traditional American conservatism to the entire country - to articulate it like Reagan did – but I fear this man may fall seriously short of that because he lacks the religious convictions that form such a substantial basis of Americanism itself. Without that foundation, all one has is the facade of conservatism without the content. Such a one is incapable of speaking from the heart of something he does not know or believe, and when placed in a position of substantial public trust (like practically the entire US Senate and House as it is constituted now), will not only fail to deliver on our expectations, but worse yet, deliver the Progressive menu served up on a platter labeled "conservatism." That will be another betrayal and huge setback.
Celebrating is in order; but a healthy caution is in order too. I hope and pray that this man may be more unknown than potentially sinister. Perhaps, being young, he may prove to be much more of what we really need than has appeared to our eyes so far. Maybe this will be a time for him to get some lessons from some of the same people who elected him in simple Americanism from the grassroots perspective. It might even be the making of the man. It is never too late to learn, if one has a willing heart. I hope that is the case. We don’t need any more Republicans in Name Only in any elective office.

Kinetic Sculpture
This video just tweaks my imagination, and my admiration for the creative mind behind it. Of course, it derived its inspiration on mechanical articulation from the designs found in the creative genius of the true and living God, of which we ourselves form a part.

A Confederacy of Fools
I received this in an email recently. "Author Unknown." I could wish I had said the following so plainly and so simply.
""The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."
This echoes the words of our founders, who reiterated that this government was made only for a moral and religious (ie: sincerely Christian) people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. We have a large segment of the population who are morally corrupt, preferring to use the government to steal from others who earn, to transfer to them benefits they have not earned.
Perhaps Barack Hussein Obama is a blessing in disguise. We would have gone plodding down the slower road to Socialism with McCain as president, as we did with Bush and Clinton and Bush Sr. Even Reagan was not able to stem the growth of this runaway government. The measures taken were too slight. Obama is waking up a large number of people who had no idea what kind of "change" they were voting for when they pulled the lever for him.
Perhaps the problem is not that of government at all, but as the author of the quote above indicates, it is the corrupt people of America. The growth of government may actually be an accurate chart of the moral decay of the American people. If that is the case, maybe a rough awakening of the remainder of us who are responsible citizens may spur us to take action before it is too late. It does not take a majority, even, only an energized and vocal minority, to turn things around. Jesus left twelve apostles. Look what he accomplished through them.
Otherwise, this ship of fools - this confedracy of fools - is doomed to destruction and a status as a third-rate nation.I don't want to leave the country and culture I love to my grandchildren so burdened with thuggery and political favoritism that everybody except the elite live like pigs.

No wonder the economy is now in a permanent tailspin
We may have passed the point of no return already. Never saw this chart before.
It is time for taking a machete to the whole of government, chopping it down to about 5% of the current employment.
Otherwise the bloodsuckers will overwhelm us.

Brit Hume's Faith and Tiger Woods' Buddha
There was a predictable furor last week over Brit Hume's advice to Tiger Woods to embrace Christianity and jettison Buddhism if he wanted a true moral recovery from his philandering ways. The reason? There is forgiveness and cleansing to be found in Jesus Christ, not to be found anywhere else.
Brit Hume, some would think, stepped on a landmine when he mentioned the "Chrisitian faith" and by implication Jesus Christ. The anti-God, Leftwing blogs went beserk, the Huffington Post exploded in wrath and derision with numerous bits of advice for Tiger to ignore Hume.
But Jesus Christ is far greater than the 500 pound buddha in Tiger's livring room. The mere mention of His name is enough to ignite brush fires of indignation all over the nation.
It was not the fact that Brit was simply giving Tiger some good advice. He could have recommded some innocuous (and ineffective) psychological counselling, or he could have opined that Tiger should just "move on", but he didn't. He pointed to Christianity as the actual solution to Tiger's problems.
Such a clear and strong statement strikes at the heart of our modern "no truth but your own truth" culture. We swim around in a pea soup of denial of the Absolute. The only thing that most people (Liberals all) can agree on is that there is no Truth (with a capital T). Everybody gets to define truth any way they want to.
Therefore, for Brit Hume to advise Tiger that there is real forgiveness to be obtained in Christianity immediately exposes the self-serving lies that most of the Liberals tell themselves about Reality. He dares to say that there is such a thing as right and wrong; that what Tiger did is not only wrong but that it requires forgiveness (not just from his wife and family) but from a Transcendent God who is offended by such behavior. Tiger knows it was wrong, but there are legions of hanger's on that would love to absolve him totally, for in doing so they absolve themselves also. But all the denial or wishful thinking in the world cannot wash away a guilty conscience.
And that, I believe, is at the root of the furor that was raised over Brit's accurate and well-meaning (and very courageous) advice: he stung multitudes of guilty consciences which had been sleeping fitfully, tossing and turning, hoping no one would turn on the light or pull off the covers. Brit gave the covers a mighty pull and hosts of people sat up, outraged that someone would dare to mention - or even refer obliquely to that Name above all Names, Jesus Christ, for in mentioning Christ, he reminded them of their guilt. For many that is simply intolerable.
Strange that no other deity's name arouses such ire. Strange isn't it?
There is no combination of words that has more power. As the song lyrics say, "there is something about that Name." Accurately understood, Jesus Christ - and Him crucified, buried and risen - means that sin is real and has dreadful consequences; it means that the very Son of God had to pay for sin on the Cross and die for the sins of every human being; it means that if God would do that to Him for our sins then He would not look favorably on anyone who dismissed the Son of God and the meaning of the Cross.
That is the rub: no one can ignore Jesus Christ. And the unbelievers - the proud and unrepentant unbelievers - just hate that. They won't "have this man to reign over them," and they will persecute and kill anyone who even reminds them that they are in a pickle and cannot escape. Psa 2:1-4 "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His Christ, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."
So I applaud Brit Hume. Those comments about Christ took courage for a "talking head" and one acting as a senior commentator for FoxNews, a not inconsiderable cable news network. (Partially owned by the Saudi's I might add.)
I didn't know that Brit Hume is a believer in Christ Jesus but I am glad to count him as a brother in the world's biggest Truth fight. He is also a courageous man too. I say courageous, because I predict that Brit will pay a price for his forthright stand for Christ. But he is in very good company, with a long line of others who esteemed the reproach of Christ of far more value than all the riches of the world. Heb 13:26
However distasteful it might appear to them at first glance, his detractors would do well to take the advice he gave Tiger Woods. The God of the Bible is the only true and living God. We all have a meeting with Him and it is inescapable. The gods of the unbelieves are self-made idols: there is no help to be found in them. "But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared." Ps 130:4. This is a truth to which we all would do well to take heed.

Climate Gate and the Arctic Treeline
And the real science just keeps rolling in, despite the best efforts of the book-cooking "scientist" priests of Global Warming who have been sticking their fingers in the dike of scientific evidence against their theories for some years now. Here is just another layer of facts that obliterates the "global warming is caused by humans" myth.
Another Failed Presidency
Obama is not one of us. That is the main source of his disconnect with the American People.
Aside from the posted article, which is very good, I am reposting a comment from a related thread which I think nails the Obama mindset, formed in his youth. It explains how he could be so disconnnected from the real USA.
"Posted by: cedarhill Aug 31, 06:03 AM
Mostly, I think, it was his first 10 years of life that formed his distorted perception of the USA.
Like Obama, I was born overseas of American parent(s). Although I attended grade school primarily in the US, one knows at a very early age that you are somehow different. Just going to the globe and showing where you were born to your classmates puts you in a different category. Obama, for him, was born "overseas" when he started school in Indonesia. His peers would have asked the same questions and he would have shown them Hawaii (after 1959 a state). His peers would not have been just curious but very likely branded America to the extent that little old Barry would have to have gone out of his way to avoid being the "ugly" American. He may have developed his deceitful character that has been so good to him at that time, given he's so expertly sincere when telling Obama's (that's lies, misinformation and deceit to Libs).
As the Jesuits have said, give me the a boy until he's ten and I'll show you the man. His later years in the Land of the Elite Socialists simply reinforced this to the point where he views himself as a historic person out to make America conform to the rest of the world. And thus, he has no real understanding of American founding principles and uniqueness of individual freedoms. Freedom is just a talking point to him.
In the end, Barry is just a little Indonesian boy raised reacting as one should expect as a product of an American-hating society intellectually underpinned through his exposure to the socialists and American-bashing elite of his secondary and post-secondary teachers, mentors and religious leaders. He will not change. He has no basis to compare. He really is trapped in his own mind with no way to deviate nor motivation to change. He will become increasingly bitter and vile as time progresses. After all, the USA is the Great Satan, for real, in his mind.
-----------------
In my opinion, this whole sordid mess is one more reason to reject this failed "presidency." It is very highly likely that it is also a usurped presidency by one who is constitutionally not qualified. If that were not enough, he lacks the qualifications to lead this nation because he is not a product of this culture. I think the framers of the constitution had this in mind when they required any presidential office-holder to be a natural born citizen, presuming that such a requirement would most likely secure a candidate that was part of the American political and religious culture - part of who we are, and not someone who views us from a cultural distance.
Unfortunately for us in our present situation, we have the worst of all worlds; a person who not only fails the natural born citizenship test, but profoundly fails the cultural test, being a Muslim (in hiding) and a strong rejector of the America we know. He grew up having to defend this nation to people who were incapable of knowing or identifiying with the real US culture - and who were religiously biased against it right from the get-go, and thus he acquired a distaste for and even a hostility for the America we know and love. All the time he never knew us and was not a part of us. He is actually a foreigner - both in the office and in our culture -and that explains perfectly why he projects such a false image of who we are, and who he is. He isn't one of us.
Truly, God help us all. This man is hugely dangerous.

Health Care and Our Inalienable Rights
This is an excellent article from The American Thinker, from Jan 2, 2010, by Scott Lazarowitz on the constitutional implications of the power grab underway by Obama and his Democrat allies. What they think will become a permanant Democrat majority is prompting many awakening citizens to resolve, like me, to disobey such mandates and intrusions into our liberty as found in the volume of the book of new controlling regulations which may soon be signed into a despotic law.

Charles Krauthammer on the New Socialism
This article on the new religion of Socialism - Environmentalism - is excellently written and right to the point. His recommendation to Congress to clip the EPA's wings over Carbon emissions controls is right on too. How to handle hubris? take their power away, or defund the bureaucrats.
